PLEASE NOTE: Zeversolar is no longer in business & their monitoring portal is no longer supported.
Zeversolar solar inverters came with WiFi monitoring functionality out of the box, however to access this functionality does require some additional setup on your part. The following guide will explain the steps required to setup this handy feature.
Zeversolar WiFi Monitoring Requirements:
- Operational Inverter
- WiFi network with internet connection and good network signal at inverter location
- Mobile device or laptop with wifi connectivity
Zeversolar WiFi Monitoring Setup Instructions:
- Open your mobile device or laptop’s WLAN page. Find the new wifi network called ZEVERSOLAR-XXXX. Note: “XXXX” stands for the last four digits in the Registry ID.
- Connect to the access point using your mobile device or laptop – the password is “zeversolar”.
- Open a web browser and go to https://160.190.0.1. The internal website will be opened.
- Select your router in the [Wireless] area. The Password/Security Key dialog box opens. Enter the password of the router. If the inverter is connected to the router, the status indicator on the Wireless page should display the green tick icon as on the image below.
- Save the Registry ID and key, they will be used for creating a new plant in Zevercloud.
Zeversolar WiFi Monitoring Portal: ZeverCloud
When you have completed the above steps successfully the next step is to create an account on the Zeversolar monitoring portal, ZeverCloud. You can go to the Zeversolar ZeverCloud monitoring portal here.
On the Zeversolar ZeverCloud monitoring portal you will need to setup a new account and register your inverter on the portal, to do this please check out the
Zeversolar ZeverCloud monitoring portal system setup guide here.
I have a tlc5000 and no WiFi signal comes out of it. What can I do to turn it on?
Cheers Tom
Hi Thomas, you would probably have to check that your inverter has a wifi card inside it, does it have an antenna out the bottom?
Hi, I have a similar issue – I have the zerversolar in my wifi, but it doesn’t accept the password… any hints???
Can someone post an image of the setup using the external wifi module (model number: A10078-10) and how it is connected to the inverter and powered. thanks
Sorry Michael but we have no such information to provide to you.
Hi Shaun, first maybe check that the password and network name don’t have any special characters in them as that has been known to cause havoc with passwords being accepted.. and don’t forget to make sure that the old CAPS LOCK isn’t on!
I have just changed my default wifi password to a unique password and then when I tried to connect to the inverter again it said the password was incorrect. I have tried the default password just in case it didn’t change but it is also incorrect. please help!
Nevermind, I have gained access through my router. turns out I left a letter out of my password when I changed it. All good.
Hello, my inverter is connecting to router on chanel 5 but i need this chanel to connect another router. So is any possibility to change chanel on connection router and inverter ?
Hi Matt, the channel will need to be changed on your router.
Hi,
I was able to connect the inverter to the WiFi and I created the account in ZeverCloud, but the Zever cloud does not show any information.
If I log into the Inverter it shows that the communication with Zevercloud is activated (green), but no information is displayed in either the app or the web browser.
Is there another step to get the live readings ?
Thank you,
I have installed a Zeversolar last year, connected to the monitor and changed the password. All worked well until last week when I changed my internet connection to NBN. Now I need to configure the monitor with the new connection. However, Zeversolar would not connect using either the default password of zeversolar or my new password.
Any help on this?
I now managed to the website to see the monitor. I had to use my mobile phone to do a forced connection (without internet) because my PC will not connect.
However, the problem is only partially solved. My main problem is the “all devices are offline”, although the inverter still working, but I can’t monitor.
I finally found the solution.
I connected via my mobile to zeversolar at 160.190.0.1. At the wireless tab, I selected my wifi internet connection. Even though it said the connection was successful, I noticed I had a red dot instead of a green one. I entered some random numbers into all those IP spaces etc. and then removed them. Then I tried again to connect. This time I got a green dot at the right-hand corner of the connection, and the IP address etc were filled incorrectly — not 0.0.0.0.
Hope this helps someone.
Well done Sam! I do hope that your efforts help someone else with a Zeversolar wifi connection issue. Thanks for sharing with us.
Hi Carlos, check out the comments from Sam, it may be of some assistance to you. Good luck!
Hi
After I login my zeversolar loud I can’t see my plant but when add the monitor it said the device had bined . So what can I do?
Sorry Kimsan, you may have to contact Zeversolar for further assistance with your issue.
Can you please explain what the income is and how it works.
Hi John, income is usually just going to a be a figure calculated from the amount of kWh of solar produced multiplied by the tariff rate that has been entered. Usually this won’t be all that helpful as the rate you are paid for surplus power and the rate you save by using solar power directly will be different, and unless you have a Zeversolar smart meter the inverter won’t know where the generated power is going and what rate is applicable.
I have never been able to get my unit to talk to Zevercloud. I can connect to the interface from my home network, but the communication with zevercloud status button is red. The software version is 18C20-817R+17829-719R. There are also 2 different serial(?) numbers displayed. One is described as Registry ID, and the other is SN under Communication with Server, but the only one accepted by zevercloud.com configiration is the Registry ID.
I just moved in a place, got zeversolar installed by previous owner, when I add the plant, it complains “the device had binded”,
how can I add the plant into my monitor list??
I’m sorry Brian, you may have to try and contact Zeversolar directly with this issue.
I’m sorry John, you may have to contact Zeversolar directly in regards to this issue.
Hi, i had the zever inverter installed roughly 2.5 years ago and everything was working fine with the app but a few months ago it just stopped working ( the app) can’t sign in. I know zever have pulled out of australia, could this be the reason
Hi Craig it certainly could be the reason.
Hi GC SPS
Just moved into a property with Zeversolar 5000, it works fine, is generating good power, but when I’ve set up the app and web say its offline so I cant monitor it on my smart device or online. Get the green dot from 160.190.0.1 etc etc but no luck….any thoughts?
I get the same issue.
On the direct connection http://160.190.0.1/ it shows I am connected to the inverter and ZeverCloud, but I can’t add the plant on the app or website. It says ‘the device has bonded’ but no data appears. Is it working for anyone else? I’m guessing it no longer works as they have gone bankrupt?
Hi Martin, the Zeversolar monitoring portal isn’t very functional since they have closed down, unfortunately.
Hi Scott, the Zeversolar monitoring portal isn’t very functional since they have closed down, unfortunately.
hi how do i connect to the house inverter via the wifi as i have just moved into the house as the new owner
Hi Dale, Zeversolar isn’t in business anymore and so there isn’t any support provided with their monitoring portal. For monitoring the system I think you’ll have to rely on the inverter display.
