grid volt fault displayed for peak period , solution as expert
Hi BHK, the grid volt fault is due to the AC voltage on the grid being too high, this is most likely due to the AC cables from the inverter back to the grid being too small – they will most likely require upgrading to handle the power the inverter is trying to push back down the cables.
HI there… thanx for your Youtube videos… and I’m after some knowledge why my SolaX X-hybrid is beeping?I juts giot home, and it says that it’s in EPS mode… but I don’t understand why as there has not been a power outage… (sorry I’m a novice really!!) Anyway, hoping you can shed some light. Steve
Hi Steve, a SolaX hybrid inverter will normally beep in backup, or EPS (Emergency Power Supply) mode. The first thing I would do is make sure there are no circuit breakers off in your switchboard and also beside the inverter. For some reason your SolaX inverter is not seeing any power from the grid if it has switched to EPS mode. Good luck!
Hi BHK, my SolaX Hybrid displays “EPS Overload” & Grid Lost Fault” errors. The monitoring system shows no grid IN/OUTput just solar generation levels. Can you provide some advice?
Hi There
The other day I noticed that the LG Battery had tripped and when checking the charge it said BMS disconnected and ) volts was showing for the battery
I had a spare LG BMS cable but it made no difference
Is there a fuse other than the trip switch?
Is there anything else that I could try before getting someone to come a check it out?
Cheers Marty
Hi Tim it sounds like you are trying to draw too much power on the backup circuits and the SolaX hybrid inverter is being overloaded. Try cutting down the amount of loads and that should sort it out.
Hi Tim, before we can provide any advice what battery do you have connected to your SolaX hybrid inverter?
Hi Marty. on the LG batteries there is a DC circuit breaker built into the battery under the top panel, it would be worth opening this up and checking that the switch is still turned on. Thanks
good morning

My NFI has this error X1-NFI
Fault: CommErr
1- The error shows up when the Inverter X1 enter in standby mode
2- The error disappear in the morning when the inverter X1 1.5 is
Live/solar producing
3- Due this error the cloud software stop given solar production in
the app or http
4- Due this error the local app stop given solar production in the app
5- the solution is to disconnect the electric board (everyday) to
reinitiate the NFI / Inverter X1
6- i have lastest firmware provided by my solar installer that confirm the bug
7- i already change ethernet cables
Hi Nando sorry to hear of your issue, it sounds like you would be best to contact SolaX directly for further assistance.
PLS, MY 3 PHASE SOLAX INVERTER IS SHOWING PLL_OVERTIME FAULT. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Hi Abiola,
I’m not sure what that exact error means.
Normally, “PLL” refers to the grid voltage or grid in some way. You can try to do a system reboot to see if this clears the error. If it still persists, then you will need to contact a local solar expert.
what is the solution of rtc fault in inverter
Hi Harsh, this is referring to an internal fault/error with the inverter. You will need a local solar expert to assist with this problem.
Hi, I have a Solax X1 inverter which is popping up with error message “Meter Fault” Ive reset the inverter many times followint the proper shut down procedures but still says meter fault. Yes ive chcecked the wiring into the 25A circuit breaker in switchboard. Im stumped any ideas???
Cheers
Mike
Thanks for contacting us. There are a few things that can cause this. If you have current transformer fitted, that may have failed. Best off to get a solar expert to check your system.
Hello
What is thé problem for
BMS_circuit_fault ?
Thanks
BMS stands for Battery Management System so it sounds like it will be a circuit fault with the Battery Management System. Thanks
Hi,
I have a SOLAX X3 MIC / PRO inverter.
I connected the Eastron SDM630 meter according to the instructions (X3 series user manual 4.0 kW – 10.0 kW).
Energy Control – enable.
Inverter does not read data from the meter. What should I set / configure in the inverter settings?
Hi we had a blackout last night and our Solax eps did not come on like it usually does – I checked the fault messages on the wifi it said ‘grid lost fault’ which I’m guessing was the blackout and ‘EPS overload fault’ -what does this mean ? Our battery was 15% when we checked during the blackout
Greetings,
we have one of your X3 Hybrid equipment
5.0kw – 10.0kw
this model, although we have followed all the connection instructions, we have a fault on point B which does not stop flashing
Hi, we are not the manufacturers of SolaX X3 Hybrid inverters, we recommend you get in touch with SolaX, the manufacturer for further assistance. Thanks.
Hi Deborah, it sounds like the loads the inverter was trying to run on EPS mode may have been too much so it caused an overload. Other than that it’s a little hard to tell without actually being on site. Thanks
Sorry but we have not had any experience with that meter, you will be best to talk to SolaX directly for further assistance. Thanks
I have solar max 3kv inverter it shows indicator [4] and doesn’t give out put what is the solution plz
Hi Noor, I’m not familiar with that inverter or the indicator. You’re best off getting a local solar expart to help you there.
Hello
I have Solax hybrid inverter (5kW) and keep getting GridFreqFault error message. Annoyingly this happens during peak power generation and keeps occurring until power generation is starting to decline (between 11am and 2pm), nearly always on sunny days. During overcast days with infrequent sunny spells the problem doesn’t occur.
Hi Pat sorry to hear about the issue you are having with your SolaX inverter. The first thing to do would be to check the inverter frequency when you are having these issues, if it’s going outside the inverters set parameters then you will need to look at why this is happening.
Hi there,
My Solax X1 LCD screen is not showing up. I have followed the instructions to restart the Inverter however it doesn’t seem to turn on
Hi Jason sorry to hear about your SolaX X1 inverter issue. It sounds like you will need a local solar electrician to carry out some tests on the system to ascertain what the issue is caused by. It may be a problem with the inverter however it could also be an issue with the solar panel side of the system, the inverter may not be detecting any solar power.
Hello Dear Sir,
Can you please tell me
That our Solax inverter is showing on display ( pv configset_ wrong)
And generation is showing 0 so what is the solution????
Hi, it sounds like you SolaX inverter has a setting incorrect and it won’t work until this is rectified. You may have to talk to your installer or SolaX direct to work out what the exact cause of the issue is.
Hi there,
I’ve recently had a Solax X1 Air installed with wifi monitoring. It’s got a energy meter on the ac board measuring in/out however my app is only showing solar power generated with no usage or import/export data. It seems very basic. The installer said it was working correctly. Is this all I can expect from the monitoring equipment? The stuff I see on the internet looks way more detailed….
What could this be?
Hi Ruth, it sounds like your SolaX X1 Air inverter is just setup with monitoring for the solar production. If you wish to have consumption monitoring as well this will require the installation of a SolaX compatible meter be to your system to monitor the consumption and then send this information onto the SolaX monitoring portal. I hope that helps!
G’day Simon – I’ve just stumbled upon this site – and must say it’s a fantastic resource!
Having said that – I’m hoping that you can shed some light on my issue: I’ve just gone through a brand new installation (52*370W Trinas and Solax X3 20Kw inverter – we also tried the 15Kw inverter). Unfortunately – It’s not firing up! The inverter sits at “waiting for grid” for several minutes, then errors out with the ISO error. Installer and seller “think” it’s voltage issue from the grid, but that doesn’t match the troubleshooting guidelines…
Hi John, sorry to hear of your issue. The first things I would be checking is that all the voltages of the system (both DC and AC) are within the range that the inverter will accept. Please take some meg ohm readings of the solar DC strings to earth as well and make sure the resistance on a 500V range is greater than 20 MOhhm. I hope that helps!
My inverter shows not input into grid and display a message saying Meter Fault. the meter is working.
what this fault can be?
Hi Adu, it may be a bad or incorrect connection with the meter. This meter is not talking about your electricity retailers meter, it is a small meter that is connected directly to your inverter.
hi my inverter screen is showing FWunmatched and is not making any power
Hi. Install an INVERTER X3 HIBRID without meter energy, and when starting it generates the error PLL_TIMEOVER FAULT. I can’t find a SAFETY configuration that says ARGENTINA (220v and 50hz). Could you tell me in which safety I should leave it and if the error is due to this. Thank you
Hi Martin, sorry we are in Australia, I’d recommend talking to an Argentinian solar expert for your country-specific help.
Hi Troy, I’d recommend getting in touch with SolaX in regards to this issue.
I have 4KW solar power plant with Solax inverter installed at my home in INDIA since last 6 months. It worked fine till October. Since the winter season started (in November), the inverter started showing “Temperature over fault” in the morning till 10:30 morning, sometimes. till 11:00 morning daily. Now, when March started, the inverter shows the same error message “Temperature over fault” from early morning 6:45 to 9:30 morning. Once the inverter starts generating power, the “Temperature Over Fault” never comes till the next day morning. What is the problem and the solution?
Hi Harshad, I recommend that you get in touch with SolaX directly in regards to your issue.
I have a solax hybrid inverter connected to 2 pylontech US 2000 2.4Kw lithium batteries……… after 2 years the batteries stopped charging. A local engineer said it the inverter displayed the following faults “C1 boost OCP” (charger over limit) and “BMS LOST”
(Inverter not communicating with the batteries)
.
Would this be an inverter fault or a battery fault? all the wiring was checked OK
.
The batteries are now flat, no charge in them. can they be charged up from flat, if the inverter was replaced?
Hi Peter, sorry to hear about your issue. It’s hard to tell what the cause of the problem is, as it could be the batteries or the inverter. The batteries should be able to be charged back up however they may require a specialised charger to do so. The standard inverter charger probably won’t talk to the batteries to charge them from a flat state as it needs to be communicating with the batteries via the BMS to put any charge across.
Hello. After 6months of perfect functioning my inverter stopped sending the data to solax cloud. It looks like the inverter is offline, however a local connection is still possible and works fine. Nothing changed in the network so I really have no clue on how to fix it.
Any tips?
Thank you
Hi Francisco, maybe try a reboot of the Solax inverter, that may help.
Good Day Friends, I recently installed a Solax X1 with a Triple M master battery with a BMS. A few weeks ago I encountered a meter fault which was removed through a system restart. After that there is a new error “DSP Communication Failed” and the Settings and advanced settings are now disabled and cannot check any configuration settings. The battery has since discharged and it shows as 0% on the display panel of the inverter. If I check status for the grid it does not register any current and shows 0%.
The installation expert has resorted to believe that it is factory fault on the inverter.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Sorry to hear of your system issue, if the system is online I’d recommend getting in touch with SolaX directly as they should be able to remotely diagnose what’s going on and advise from there. It sounds to me like it may be a firmware issue.
Hi Guys
I have solax inverter with BusVoltFault but the voltage of the input it not higher than what the inverter car support so what could be the problem?
Thanks
Hi Bruno, the issue will be an internal fault with the inverter and will require the SolaX inverter be replaced to rectify the issue.
