We've had our Israel SolarEdge Optimiser (as opposed to a string system) solar system installed for about 2 months now and absolutely love it. The installation went very smoothly, no drama, all within one day. Excellent after-sales support. Simon came back to fix an issue at an instant when I contacted them and took the time to respond to my non-electrician stupid and pedantic questions after the install on a few other occasions patiently. Highly recommend them. Update: 3+yrs down the track after the instal, we are still very happy with the Gold Coast Solar Power Solutions after-sale customer care and have no problems with the installer. However, we can't say the same for SolarEdge (the inverter manufacturer). The SolarEdge SE10000HD failed twice in 3 years. The first failure happened 2yrs and 2mths after the instal and then the replacement failed again in 12mths. SolarEdge will not even extend the 12 year warranty even though the product failed so shortly after the install, and happening twice within 3 years. They said they will happily keep replacing. Of course, we are not expecting the product to last more than 12yrs now after having it replaced twice in 3yrs, the last one only lasting 12mths. So if you're after an inverter with longevity over its warranty timeframe, this will not cut it. After the first failure, GC Power Solutions advised that SolarEdge was offering a free upgrade of the inverter to a Hybrid inverter but only if we purchased the battery which cost about $12-13k including installation. When the product failed again the second time, again they said the same thing. They will only offer a free upgrade if we purchase the battery (which I presume will be at least $12k or more by now). That appears to me like a sales tactic to get rid of a known product issue (which SolarEdge denies) and at the same time profit from it by making another sale for their battery. If you have the same issue with SolarEdge, please lodge a complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (www.accc.gov.au) to investigate into potentially an unfair, unconscionable, misleading practices for selling an unfit product. Check how often the inverters are being replaced before you make a decision - something we've learnt by experience, albeit too late, so hopefully this review will help someone.

I had my old solar system replaced on 18/2/22 . The hole process was extremely easy, with great price, sales service & was the installation team that fitted it . They were very respectful of me , my house , took all the old system away, cleaned up after themselves. Generally did a good job. I would definitely recommend this company for any solar requirements. Gold Coast Solar provided awesome advice, installation and service from the start. After an initial consult we replaced an old inverter and panels with a new system. The install was easy, pricing clear and no surprises. They helped to pick the right system, did professional roof inspection to ensure the best layout, used the latest technology to connect my mobile to the inverter to monitor solar activity etc. This system has been flawless, the install was all tidy with no problems, respect for existing property when installed. Even got advice on the best phasing to use for ensuring maximum power out consistency to the grid, not costing a lot more. well worth it and would highly recommend.
