Power One Aurora Waiting Sun Error ?
Do you have a Power One Aurora Waiting Sun Error being displayed on your Power One Aurora Solar inverter? If so you’ve come to the right place for help!
When your Power One Aurora inverter has waiting sun on the screen, it indicates that the inverter hasn’t detected enough power from the solar panels to start up.
The following are indicators of this fault:
- Green light will be flashing
- Screen will display an “Waiting Sun” message
What can you do about a Power One Aurora Waiting Sun Error?
The ABB/ Power One inverter waiting sun error message is quite normal at dawn and dusk. It can also come on during the day if a storm is approaching, the clouds come over and darken the sky and there is not enough sunlight to power up the panels.
The one step to take first is to reboot your Power One Aurora.
To reboot your Power One Aurora solar inverter please follow these steps:
- Turn OFF the solar supply main switch (or inverter AC isolator if present).
- Turn OFF the PV array DC isolator.
- Wait for the inverter screen to go completely blank and the red fault light to turn off.
- Turn ON the PV array DC isolator.
- Turn ON the solar supply main switch (or inverter AC isolator if present).
- Wait a few minutes while the inverter boots back up.
If after restarting the inverter you still see the waiting sun message unfortunately it appears you have an issue with your inverter which is going to require a replacement.
Power One Aurora Waiting Sun Error?
The flashing green light on the Power One Aurora when the waiting sun error is showing on the screen, means that your solar system is not producing any power, and is costing you money. The inverter requires replacing and you should contact a solar accredited electrician as soon as practical.
The Power One Aurora inverters have a 5-year manufacturer warranty. If your inverter was installed within the last 5 years, ABB will cover this error under their manufacturer warranty. In order to make a warranty claim you will need to provide the following information:
- Model Number (found on the data plate on the side of your inverter)
- Serial Number (Found underneath the inverter)
